Strategic Storytelling for Social Change
These days, “storytelling” is being used to promote all things communication in our world. I’ve been talking about the importance of storytelling since before it became jargon. In my strategic storytelling work, I aim to address these common struggles:
-
Capturing the right stories that illuminate your impact
-
Ensuring your stories honor the voices of people and communities impacted by your work
-
Crafting stories that not only evoke emotion, but move people to take action and think of your issue in new ways
-
Communicating about important social issues in environments where you are limited on things you can say
-
Creating appealing materials designed for accessibility
I work alongside you (and your community) to craft messages, stories, and materials that make an impact.
I come with experience in building stories and messages rooted in cultural narrative research–meaning I prioritize what will move minds over the next flashy headline that evokes emotion, but does little beyond that.
I aim to build communication that inflicts social change–shifting our cultural narratives to center the needs of people and communities.
